Dr. Maharaj Muthoo, Team Leader and policy advisor
Dr. Muthoo is an international cooperation, sustainable development, natural resources management and forest policy expert. Has lived and worked in all the continents, e.g., in Brazil as Team Leader of UNDP/Govt. of Brazil Forest Research and Development Project (PRODEPEF), in India as DFO Project Planning & Forest Research Divisions, Joint Secretary to Govt. for Planning, and Managing Director J K Industries Ltd., in Italy as Director of FAO's Forestry Operations and Chairman of the World Food Day; in Mexico as Executive Director of Forest Stewardship Council; in Suriname as UNDP advisor on Land Use and Policy Planning; in Tanzania as British ODA SIDA investment advisor, and in Turkey as UN Resident Coordinator, UNDP Resident Representative a.i. and FAOR. He has science and economics degrees from India (Kashmir and Delhi), honours forestry degree from Wales (Bangor), public policy and administration master from USA (Harvard), and natural resource planning and economic de velopment doctorate from England (Oxford). He has received performance awards, such as from Presidents of Brazil, India and Turkey. He is chairman/president of Roman Forum, AGRFOR, HEADS, and Damodhartech International. He is advisor, chairman, and steering committee member in the UN system and other entities dealing with issues of MDG, ecosystems and climate change. He is science & didactic committee chair, visiting professor or resource person at various Universities, such as Noida Amity, Roma Sapienza, Tokyo UN University, and Vienna Natural Resources and Life Sciences.

Mr. Prem Patnaik, Policy and Climate Change Component Coordinator
Retired Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Jammu & Kashmir and Chairman, J & K State Pollution Control Board. Looked after large scale plantations in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Formerly Advisor (Forest & Environment) to the North Eastern Council, and Head of the North Eastern Regional Office of the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Shillong, covering all North Eastern States. A recipient of Indira Priyadarshini Vrikshmitra Award for his contribution to social forestry in Jammu & Kashmir.

Mr Sanjeev Sasmal, Pilots Component Coordinator
Mr. Sasmal holds a PGDM diploma from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, and has more than ten years experience in project planning and management, institutional strengthening, monitoring and evaluation, research and assessment, training and capacity building in various development and public services improvement projects in India.

Mr Amarjyoti Mohapatra, Communication Component Coordinator
Masters Degree in Applied & Analytical Economics Mr. Mahapatra is Principal Consultant with Adam Smith International, India and is one of India’s leading communications expert specializing in government to people communications, particularly in areas of reform. He possesses over a decade of experience in developmental projects and media, policy communications and training and is a former journalist for the main stream national media

Mr Anindo Kumar Chaterjee, HR & Change Management Component Coordinator
Master of Management Studies (MMS) with specializations in finance, economics and strategic human resources management, Faculty of Management Studies, Goa University, Goa, India. Anindo came on board the OFSSP team as the Organization Development Advisor from April 2007. Prior to this, Anindo was working as a Senior Consultant in the Government Reforms and Institutional Development (GRID) division in PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt. Ltd. (PwC). In his decade long career as a management consultant, Anindo has acquired multi-disciplinary expertise in key functional areas such as organization development and change management, institutional development, human resource management, training and capacity building and socio-economic risk management. He has worked on numerous assignments requiring such expertise across sectors such as forestry and natural resources management, infrastructure development, education, social development and health.

Mr Pratyay Jagannath, Technical Consultant (Pilots)
Mr. Jagannath holds a PGDM (rural management) diploma from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar and has significant experience in project design and implementation of Livelihood projects, monitoring and evaluation with various leading development and donor organisations in India.

Ms Seema Gupta, Technical Consultant (HR & CM)
Seema who is presently pursuing a MBA from ICFAI University holds Degree in Civil Engineering from University College of Engineering, Bulra and has over five years of experience in the field of Rural Development in planning and implementing Micro-Irrigation Projects, Improved Agriculture & Horticulture projects and SHGs. She is skilled in participatory methods of project planning and implementation including preparation of Perspective plan involving PRI members, SHG Groups and Government Stakeholders. She is trained in PRA and an accredited Entrepreneurship Motivation Trainer. At present she co-ordinates the HR and Change Management function of OFSSP diligently.

Ms Miloni Mishra, Project Officer (Pilots)
Miloni Mishra an MSW from Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai had previous work experience as ‘Programme Officer’ with 'Pratham Gujarat Education Initiative' in Ahmedabad. Her work profile was research based in the sectors of institutional development, human resource management, improvement of existing quality of primary education, with active participation in ‘READ INDIA’ movement, a national campaign. Areas of expertise have been research and analysis with management and documentation skills. Liasoning (in close contact with Government departments) and networking have been major responsibilities. Interest in environment and natural resource development guided her to attend a Management Development Programme (MDP) with Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal on Economic Valuation and Accounting of Natural Resources which has added to her skills.

Mr Rajesh Kumar Jena, Project Officer (Pilots)
He has completed his PGDMN from EDII, Ahmedabad and has more than five year experience in social development, in the areas of Tribal Empowerment, HIV/AIDS, Micro planning, Capacity building and implementation of community based projects. He has been involved in various activities like project planning, Preparation of training module and developing process for project implementation and management.

Mr. Sudhakar Das, Communications Consultant (Banani Coordinator)
He has more than 15 years Experience in the field of Media & Entertainment. He has worked in various capacities like, Script Writer, Director & Performing Artist as well. Particularly on Social Communication he has been involved in more than 100 projects.

Ms Priya Lenka, Programme Manager
Post Graduate degree in Commerce, Utkal University Priya has extensive experience of more than 18 years in administration and management. She leads general management support to the project involving budget management, financial forecasting & complying with donor’s requirements. The programme support team is led by her with the distinctive touch of humility. The project’s success may be attributed to the visionary directions set by her .

Mr Satya Narayan Raju, Office Manager
Post Graduate Degree in Public Administration, Utkal University Raju has vast and vivid experience in office logistics, management and overall supervision, which is being utilised for a congenial work environment. He has been the backbone of the official support team which works under tremendous pressure and deadlines. Efficient event management like trips, workshops and support has been useful and handy for whole OFSSP. Raju has interest in reading and travelling around.

Mr Dhaneswar Behera, Office Assistant
A Master degree holder in Zoology from Sambalpur University and with qualification such as PGDCA has a pleasing personality. He has one and half years experience in office administration. Efficient support for smooth office operation has been invaluable for OFSSP.

Mr Siba Shankar Sahu, PA
A Physics graduate from Utkal University and having advanced skill sets with computer which is through his diploma (i.e PGDCA) is now working as PA to Project Director. Efficient support to the esteemed officer from the Department of Forest and environment has been significant and praiseworthy.
